Team Element Take In Former Reason Gaming

The UK line-up of Reason Gaming, caused quite a stir around the community when they announced that they would be the newest team to represent the [R] tag at the most recent installment of the Epic.LAN Series, Epic.EIGHT in February this year. Things never really went to plan and they decided it was to call it quits a few weeks later. Although they have now decided to return bringing with them a new home whilst making a change at the same time.

Team Element have been one of the most supportive organisations to the Call of Duty 4 scene since it was created in May of 2008, they have had their fair share of strong rosters over the year but until recently haven't had a line-up for quite some time. The decision to take in the former Reason Gaming squad ultimately proves they are ready to progress through 2012, with the stability and dedication of their new team they will be able to persue the targets they have set themselves.

Now onto the line-up itself, it was team captain, Craig SNWZY3 Snowden who thought that the time was right for a reformation and soon brought Kyle Smiffy Smith back onboard. To make things better they persuaded the dynamic duo of Dan rapid Shakeshaft and Tom cronik Palombella back in to brand the Element tag. For their fifth and final addition they decided not to ask back the Scouser, Aaron baker Baker instead they opted for the recently departed LiNK Gaming player of George raivz Marsh, with whom they decided was the best possible person for the squad.

Their plans over the next 7 months start with Season Three of CyberGamer's Amateur Ladder, where they will look to push for promotion into the Main League come Season Four. Epic.NINE in July and insomnia46 in August will see a definite attendance from the guys, whilst the pricing up of an EU LAN has also begun, although they are not sure where they will venture out to. Needless to say they are already looking stronger with the addition of George Marsh, and one can say the only way is up for the new Team Element roster.

Statement - Kyle Smith
"First off, I'd like everyone to look at rapid's surname. On topic; The majority of us have pulled back together for one last swing at things. We've brought George in to replace Aaron however, which was a big step for us seeing as he is southern. After a really poor performance offline at epic8 we tried a lot of different things and nothing seemed to be working which resulted in endless nights of arguing, an addiction to HoN and a broken headset. We've recently joined Team Element and I feel we can finally give Andy what he deserves, as we have proved ourselves to be a stable lineup for the majority of the last 8 months. I'd like to thank Ben and Javier at Reason Gaming for all the help and support we received at Reason and I'd like to thanks Andy for the opportunity to do him proud."

Guild Wars 2 Open Beta and 2012 launch confirmed

Today ArenaNet announced their plans to expand their beta and has confirmed a 2012 release for Guild Wars 2. (Although no specific date)

In a blog post ArenaNet boss Mike O'Brien confirmed his plans to release the game this year and to provide an open beta to a selection of public fans this spring.

"In February we'll invite select press to participate in beta testing, and in March and April we'll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate." O'Brien says.

"And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year," he adds.

"It's been an incredible adventure over the past five years, working with our community and our team of dedicated artists, designers, and programmers to realize this vision. This year, the seeds of that work come to fruition."

New CoD4 squad selected!

After a 2 month period of inactivity, Team-Element is back in CoD4 scene with a new squad! Team Oslo-Lions, has been chosen to participate in online leagues and LAN events as the representative of Team-Element. The team was formed back in September 2010 by experienced and strong players, namely Alex "AlexzAN" Rude Evensen, Benjamin "Riqz~" Skarding, Martin "Korka" Kroken and Marius "viMZ" Nelvik, who used to play for some of the most decent teams such as oSk-Gaming, VIP-Gaming and fast-switch. From then on, they have been playing together for over a year and have improved on every aspect of the game. Recently, due to a player qutting the team, there was a line-up change. Noone but Charlie "WelchjE" Welch was the perfect match to the character and skill of the player needed, therefore, LionsEK did not think twice and in no time WelchjE joined the team.

The current line-up can be found below:

Marius "viMZ" Nelvik (Team captain)
Martin "Korka" Kroken
Alex "AlexzAN" Rude - Evensen
Benjamin "Riqz~" Skarding
Charlie "WelchjE" Welch

Statement from the players:

After 6 months of playing for Oslo Lions, we, as a team, decided to move to the English organisation Team Element. We had a good time playing under the LionsEK tag but it seemed that the organisation itself just had no interest in the Call of Duty 4 scene.
We are happy to have joined the ranks of Team Element. The main reason we applied for Element is because of the experienced management and friendly atmosphere they offer. Kevlar, catFAT and Chip, together, are the perfect base for an upcoming organisation to thrive to its fullest and that can be proved by their noticeable efforts to do the best for their teams.
For now we are competing in the CyberGamer league but we are motivated to attend offline events in the near future. Last but not least, I would like to thank the sponsors who support Team Element: ClicknKill, Raisetraffic and The Element Network and may 2012 be a prosperous year for not only our team, but Element on a whole.

Good Luck to you boys and best wishes for success!

New Call of Duty Console Team

We haven't had much success in terms of Call of Duty teams but with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and with the console scene at an all time high it would seem like a waste to not have a team. On that point, we are delighted to welcome our new team for Modern Warfare 3. The team has previously represented the organisation in the past and we welcome them back with open arms after making the switch back here from inifinitus.

The team will be attending all events they possibly can which includes EGL in April and also i45, which for the first time after the recent announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Console will be at the event. We look forward to seeing what the team can bring to Team Element and we hope they can stay at the organisation for a long time.
